Cathodic Protection & Monitoring

For optimum cathodic protection and monitoring, Aquatec has developed CPguardian – a unique and cost-effective ICCP system that protects and monitors your offshore structure. CPguardian is ideal for extending the life of ageing assets, potentially delaying decommissioning. It provides options for structure protection when original galvanic systems have been depleted. The fully integrated system has closed-loop control, which provides impressed current cathodic protection and monitoring of the resulting protection levels in real time.

01

CONTROLLED PSU | MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC CONTROL

In automatic mode, the PSU will adjust the current supplied to your ICCP anodes to achieve the desired protection potentials using the feedback from the AQUAmodem CP real-time monitoring units installed across the structure.
If manual control is preferred, the operator can set the protection level and current required to achieve it.

02

AQUAmodem ® 500CP | ACOUSTIC POTENTIAL/CURRENT DATA COMMUNICATION

The AQUAmodem ® 500CP is Aquatec’s pioneering, acoustic communications device for the measurement and transmission of potentials or currents. The AQUAmodem ® 500CP offers an economical and reliable alternative to costly cables, and ensures consistent, periodic fixed point monitoring. Battery life is tailored to project requirements and is typically >15 years.
The AQUAmodem ® 500CP reduces the need for manual dip cell measurements and enables monitoring in all seasons and weather conditions. It provides continuous assessment of sacrificial or ICCP anode performance in remote sections of subsea structures, with real-time data delivered topside or logged subsea. The system can be configured for diver or ROV installation, offering flexible deployment options.
