Aquatec Group is thrilled to announce a donation marking the commencement of its 31st year in business, with a focus on sustainable development initiatives.

This donation to the Marine Conservation Society mirrors Aquatec’s unwavering commitment to preserving our oceanic environment and safeguarding marine life. The funds provided will empower this non-profit organisation to continue its critical work in ocean conservation. This includes establishing and managing well-protected marine areas, fostering dialogue with fishermen and industry to identify sustainable fishing practices, and collaborating with retailers and consumers to make informed choices supporting sustainable seafood.

This contribution was an integral part of a unique campaign launched by our company during our 30th-anniversary celebration. We pledged a fixed amount to the donation fund for every view our online corporate timeline received. This initiative served a dual purpose: promoting our three decades of subsea innovations and encouraging the entire subsea community to reflect on our collective impact on the oceans and our responsibility towards environmental conservation. Every view was significant, and our timeline garnered thousands.

In our pursuit of sustainability objectives, we are undertaking several other key initiatives. This includes an amplified focus on the development of our marine bioacoustics brand. Additionally, Aquatec is actively participating in the NAUTILOS Project, funded under the Horizon 2020 Future of Seas and Oceans Flagship Initiative and coordinated by the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). This collaborative project brings together a distinguished consortium of 21 entities from 11 European countries, boasting a diverse range of expertise spanning ocean instrumentation development, ocean sensing technology, data processing, operational oceanography, marine biology, climate change science, marine technology applications, and research infrastructure.

At Aquatec, we remain steadfast in our commitment to innovation and sustainability, both for our business and the precious ecosystems of our oceans.
