Technical Sales Executive (Subsea Instrumentation)
We are looking for a technical sales executive to drive sales of our subsea instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement sales and marketing activities
- Secure sales to agreed targets
- Arrange and participate in conferences, exhibitions and sales meetings
- Work with a growing network of representatives worldwide
- Generate and publish sales and marketing material in print and on the company web site
- Provide sales input to the Managing Director and technical staff on the future development of instrumentation products
- Report to the Managing Director
Competence/Experience
- Degree in oceanography, engineering or science
- More than 3 years experience of technical sales, or client-facing service
- Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation and measurement, including acoustic and optical instrumentation.
- Work experience from oceanographic or oil and gas industry is preferable
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and with a very high standard of writing
- Competence in a second language will be a bonus
- High degree of computer literacy
Personal Qualities
- Excellent relationship builder
- Enthusiasm and good organisational skills essential
- Able to work independently in the context of the wider company team
Other Requirements
- UK or International Driving Licence
- Permanent entitlement to work in the European Community
The office is located in Hartley Wintney in rural Hampshire, close to Reading, Farnborough and Basingstoke, although there may also be an option to work from an Aberdeen base. The job will entail a fair amount of domestic and some international business travel. As the successful candidate, you will be offered a good salary, bonus, insurances and pension schemes.
