HYDROlogAquatec's HYDROlog instrument range are used for monitoring test pressure and ambient temperature during subsea pipeline hydrotesting. Hydrotest PressureTo demonstrate a successful hydrotest, a continuous record of pressure is required. Aquatec’s HYDROlog range operate in deep water and work with hydrotest pressures up to 1200 bar or 17.5 kpsi. The data loggers are completely self-contained and record test pressure at regular intervals throughout the test. Data is downloaded at the end of the test to produce a permanent record of the hydrotest. Temperature CompensationOnce the pipeline under test has been sealed, the internal pressure may vary with temperature – caused for example by tidal fronts. It is important to be able to record temperature variations during the hydrotest so that any temperature-related cyclic or step pressure changes can be correctly correlated to temperature. All HYDROlog instruments include temperature measurement, including a range of temperature-only instruments that can be used to gather temperature data at additional locations along the pipeline. Model SelectionThe various HYDROlog data loggers are described below. Refer to the following table to select the correct logger for your application.
Note: the HYDROlog 1000 models require at least one HYDROlog 1000 drop-in reader to extract data, while the larger HYDROlog 1100 models require at least one HYDROlog 1100 reader. |
