AQUAlogger 520 - mini-logger

The AQUAlogger 520 oceanographic instruments are fully self-contained, miniature data loggers recording temperature and/or pressure. A USB-connected reader allows for fast uploading of up to 256 thousand logged parameter readings using a contactless communication system.

AQUAlogger 210PTdeep – deep water logger

Temperature, pressure – to 4000m

The AQUAlogger 210PTdeep logger is a compact temperature and/or pressure logger to depths of 4000m. It is a fully self-contained data logger, with a high speed data connection for configuration and data download. Custom solutions for depths greater than 4000m are also available.

AQUAlogger 530WTD - wireless logger 

Wireless temperature, depth - to 600m

The AQUAlogger 530WTD has an innovative design that includes the ability to store data and display graphs automatically via wireless technology, negating the need for a cabled connection or manual interaction. With a rugged, compact design, it is suitable for use on a variety of vessels and platforms, including research ships, survey boats, commercial fishing vessels and moorings.

AQUAlogger 520HST – high speed temperature logger

High speed temperature, pressure – to 1000m

The AQUAlogger 520HST features a high speed temperature probe in a fully self-contained, compact data logger, with optional pressure sensor. It can be deployed to 1000m. 

AQUAlogger 210PTremote – remote recovery logger

Temperature, pressure for remote recovery – to 3000m

The AQUAlogger 210PTremote is a compact temperature and/or pressure logger able to be interrogated remotely to recover data when used in combination with the AQUAmodem Op1 (optical modem). The modem has been designed to provide a seamless interface between the user and the AQUAlogger 210PTremote, typically via an ROV umbilical.

AQUAlogger 210TY - turbidity logger

Turbidity, temperature, pressure - to 4000m

The AQUAlogger 210TY is a compact instrument capable of monitoring turbidity, and optionally temperature and/or water pressure at up to 1000 m water depth.  The 210 series of data loggers incorporate a replaceable battery providing life expectancy of up to 1 year within a lightweight housing.

The AQUAtalk software application provides an intuitive and user-friendly software interface for deployment configuration, uploading of data, and quick report generation.

AQUAscat - suspended sediment profiler

The AQUAscat 1000 represents a new generation of high frequency acoustic instrumentation. It has applications in sediment transport studies, including measurement of suspended sediment profiles, precision altimetry, dredge plumes and turbulence.

Marine mammals

AQUAclick - porpoise click logger

The AQUAclick 100 is a click recorder which monitors sonar activity from high frequency Harbour Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) clicks. It is used to assess porpoise abundance in a given locality.

AQUAmark - Marine Mammal Deterrents

The AQUAmark series are acoustic pingers which help prevent marine mammal (porpoise and dolphin) bycatch.

HYDROlog - hydrotesting

Aquatec's HYDROlog instrument range are used for monitoring test pressure and ambient temperature during subsea pipeline hydrotesting.

Leak detection

LEAKlog - leak detection

Aquatec designs and manufactures leak detection systems for the oil industry. We are also able to provide systems and operator personnel for hire across the globe.

Aquatec's LEAKlog instrument range are used for the detection of leaks from subsea pipelines and installations, generally deployed from ROVs.  We use a variety of detection techniques, including fluorescence detection, passive acoustic detection, and thermal gradient monitoring.

AQUAmodem Op1 Optical Modem

Aquatec has been producing underwater acoustic modems for over 15 years. Now, for short range applications, we have introduced the AQUAmodem Op1 Optical Modem.

This instrument provides a seamless interface between the user and any subsea instrumentation with RS232 serial interfaces, such as our AQUAlogger oceanographic instruments, HYDROlog hydrotest loggers and LEAKlog leak detection sensors – typically via an ROV umbilical.

AQUAmodem 1000 Configurable Modem

Aquatec’s latest acoustic modem technology has been developed over 15 years. The more recent projects involved shallow water communications in the Baltic over ranges of up to 5 km, while current long range communication technology has been developed within the EC-Funded DAMOCLES and ACOBAR projects (see Research & Development) for communication at up to 20 km range.

AQUAmodem 500 - Integrated Measurement and Data Transmission

The AQUAmodem 500 instruments represent a breakthrough in low cost underwater communications.  Perfect for long-term, multi-point condition monitoring, the system combines the proven data acquisition capabilities of Aquatec's AQUAlogger underwater instrumentation with a low-power acoustic transmission system. At the surface is a standard AQUAmodem receiver unit that decodes the data signals transmitted from multiple subsea units.
